Hi friends! Normally I do wedding posts on Wednesday for #WeddingWednesday, but I got so busy with doing stuff around the house yesterday that it totally slipped my mind! A couple weekends ago, we had my sisters bachelorette weekend in Ft. Worth! Being the maid of honor, I had the pleasure of planning it with the help of my cousin and my mom. We planned such a fun weekend and everyone had a blast! So many people think you have to go far for your bachelorette party and while that is so much fun, you really can have a great weekend somewhere local with all of your favorite people.
My sister lives in Dallas and her fiancés family lives in Arkansas so we didn’t want them to have to drive too far so Hannah decided on Ft. Worth! We found this beautiful house through VRBO and it was perfect! The pool was nice and there was plenty of room for everyone. We decided on a Great Gatsby theme and it was so much fun decorating and dressing the part. Below I listed out the whole weekend of everything we did! I made all of the signs, Hannah’s sash, the bags, and the t-shirts, and my mom made the center pieces and everyones head pieces!
Friday:
On Friday we got to the house and decorated before my sister got there. We decided to cook at the house that night to let everyone get settled. Once everyone got there, we ate dinner and then played Cards Against Humanity and What Do You Meme. If you’ve never played either of these games, you have to order them and play them! They’re hilarious! After games, we did her lingerie shower and then everyone got in the pool for a late night swim! The first night was very chill and relaxing.
Saturday:
On Saturday we got up and had breakfast and then headed to Daireds Salon and Spa for massages and brunch. The restaurant there had amazing food and they were all so nice. Everyone loved their massages and every masseuse was amazing. After massages, we headed back to the house for drinks and a pool day! The pool was so nice and super enjoyable. Around 4, everyone started getting ready for dinner and then to go out. To match the Great Gatsby theme, we all dressed in 20’s attire to go out. While we were out, it was crazy how many people stopped us and asked to take pictures with us. We got so many compliments, and loved how many people loved it! We had dinner at Mi Cocina, which was amazing, and then headed to Pete’s Piano Bar for a night of fun. We had the best time at Pete’s and it was the perfect place to go out for a Bachelorette Party. We went there for the first night of my bach party in Austin and knew we wanted to go back to one!
Sunday:
On Sunday, we packed up the house and all went to brunch at Black Walnut Cafe. I highly recommend this place as well! They have the best gluten free pancakes! After brunch, we said our goodbyes and headed home!
Our weekend in Ft. Worth was such a fun weekend and I am so thankful we were able to shower my sister with so much love! The Great Gatsby theme was so different and so fun to decorate for. Dressing the part was definitely the most fun thing. I have linked everything that I can below by the pictures, but if you have any questions about the weekend feel free to reach out! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys are having a great week!
