Happy Monday y’all! This past week has been SO busy! I feel like there hasn’t been enough time in the day! This past weekend I went to San Antonio for my cousins graduation from nursing school, and this weekend Patrick and I are headed to meet my best friends new baby boy and then on to Dallas for a couple days to see Patrick’s parents.
I wore this adorable outfit last week and this top is AMAZING! I love the way it fits and it’s so cute with any bottoms! I am planning to wear it with a skirt this weekend! It is also the perfect little top for Memorial Day. It’s under $35 and comes in the cutest pink too! I paired it with my all time favorite white jeans and these cognac wedges. They’re high, but surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in!
What’s everyones plans for Memorial Day this weekend?! Let me know in the comments below!
Mother’s Day is in 4 days and I can’t wait to spoil my mom! I seriously don’t know what I would do without her! She is my rock and truly my best friend. Throughout the years, I have learned SO much from my sweet momma so I wanted to share three of my favorite things with you guys!
Mom Always Knows Best: Y’all, it doesn’t matter if you’re 5 or 55, your mom ALWAYS knows best! I cannot stress this enough. Anytime I had a problem or needed advice, she was always right. I never believed her when she said that until now! She always knew who my true friends were, knew what kind of prom dress would look the best on me, knew when I was lying about something being wrong and so much more. When I was picking out my wedding dress, my mom actually found it and picked it out. I was so against trying it on but she begged me to do so, so of course I did. Once again, she knew best. I fell in love with it!
You have to make yourself happy before you can make others happy: This was HUGE for me when I finally understood it. From my freshman year of high school to my freshman year of college, I dated a guy and was treated like dirt. For four years I didn’t understand how unhappy I was. I thought I was in love, but boy was I wrong. My mom would ask me all the time why I thought I was so happy and I could never once answer her. Throughout those years, I lost great relationships with friends and family and was in such a blur all the time. I was truly just living to make that relationship work. After finally realizing how bad of a situation I was in and breaking up with him, it was like my life did a total 360. I woke up happy and went to bed happy. I remember my mom telling me how much different I was. After the breakup, I promised myself that I wouldn’t get into a relationship for atleast a year. That year, all I did was work on myself. I dated, had endless girls nights, and did exactly what I wanted to do. Exactly 9 days after the year was up, I met Patrick and the rest is history! You truly cannot be happy with others around you until you are happy with yourself!
Be Yourself, ALWAYS: This one is my favorite. There are so many people who try to live other’s life. Whether it’s style, likes and dislikes, food, hobbies, etc., YOU DO YOU! My mom always told my sister and I to just be ourselves. She knew when we were doing something to fit in and always did her best to steer us to do what we wanted to do. My sister and I always knew that God made us and there is NO one in the world like us. Embrace it!
These are just a few of the things I have learned from my mom. My favorite part about my mom is that she always speaks her mind and will never beat around the bush. She is truly the nicest person, and would do just about anything for anyone. I am so grateful that God chose me to be her daughter.
Below I have shared a few Mother’s Day gifts! If you select express shipping, you will definitely get them in time for Sunday.
Who else is obsessed with bright colors? They make me so happy! I have never been a big fan of yellow but lately I have been loving it! This top is perfect for the spring and summer months and will definitely be on repeat. I love the ruffles and open shoulder on it! These shorts are old from American Eagle, but I just ordered these and LOVE them! They fit SO well and are long enough in the bag to cover your booty! These wedges have been on major repeat lately. I can’t recommend them enough! They go with everything and are extremely comfortable.
HAPPY FRIDAY! Holy cow I felt like this week was never going to end! Patrick and I are headed to Georgia tomorrow for a quick weekend trip. What are your plans this weekend? Below I have rounded up some of my favorite weekend sales! Some of them are only TODAY so shop fast!

Hi friends!! We are halfway through the week! Anyone else SO ready for the weekend?! I have been in such a funk this week! I’m definitely ready to recharge and enjoy the weekend! I am getting a new car this weekend which makes me even more ready!
If you can’t already tell, I have had a thing for jumpsuits lately. They are so flattering and comfortable and I love that it’s such an easy outfit that looks well put together! This olive green beauty is under $30!!! Such a steal. I think I have reworn this about 5 times already, lol. This is perfect for brunch, date night, a shower or anything really! You can dress it down by pairing it with sandals like these or dress it up with heels like these! I chose to pair it with these wedges for a more casual look.
Are y’all on the jumpsuit train too?! Let me know down below in the comments! Thanks for stopping by!
Surprise! I’m in florals again! Surprised? You shouldn’t be! Lol. I knew this romper was coming home with me as soon as I saw it! I am all about off-the-shoulder anything, and the bell sleeves make it even better! Purple usually isn’t my color but this was just too pretty to pass up! It fits super well too! Normally I have some issues with off-the-shoulder stuff being too loose up top, but this one was tight around the arms which I really like. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall down and stays in place when you move your arms. These wedges are my absolute favorite shoes ever, and come in FIVE colors! I think I might need them all. This bag is a staple piece and has definitely been on repeat. It’s a bit more pricey than I would usually like to spend but SO cute! I found some dupes that are less expensive too.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and has an awesome week! Does anyone have anything fun going on this week? Let me know in the comments!
Hello and happy Friday! I have gotten so many questions from people asking about which makeup products I use and how I do my makeup. I am definitely not a makeup guru but I wanted to share what products I love and explain how I do my everyday makeup look!
I start by washing my face and then applying a face moisturizer. I am using the SLMD skincare system right now and I LOVE it! It has a morning and night serum and then a moisturizer. My face has seriously never felt better! After putting on the serum, I apply a generous amount of lotion. I notice my face looking 100X better if it is nice and hydrated!
I then apply the Smashbox photo finish primer. This stuff is gold! It smoothes out your face and tones down any redness you have all while helping your makeup stay on better.
Next, I use this Tarte under eye concealer under my eyes, obviously! Lol. This stuff is AMAZING! It helps with under eye circles so much. I use shade fair. I use a damp beauty blender to dab this under my eyes.
I then use a light bronzer to put all over my face to either give me some color or to make my face match the rest of my body when I use a self tanner! For this, I use Benefit Hoola matte bronzer with this brush.
I then use the Urban Decay velvetizer powder. I cannot say enough good things about this stuff! Your face feels and looks SO smooth after putting this on! I apply it with this brush.
For priming my eyes, I use the Urban Decay primer potion in shade Eden. I never have a problem with my eyeshadow smudging or coming off when I use this!
For eyeshadow, I usually ALWAYS use one of the Urban Decay Naked pallets. For my eyelid, I like to use a gold of some sort. I really like the Chanel eyeshadow pot in “Convoitise”. It goes on smooth and stays all day. Another gold I really like is the shade “half baked” from the original Urban Decay naked pallet. On the brow line, I like to use the shade “sin” from the same Urban Decay naked pallet. In the crease I like a darker color so I mix “gunmetal” and “darkhorse”. Then I go in with the “virgin” color or some sort of white right underneath my eyebrow.
For eyeliner, I use the Kat Von D tattoo liner in black. I put it on the top and bottom because I think it has a more finished look!
For mascara, y’all are going to laugh but I have been using the same two mascaras since I started wearing makeup in the 7th grade. HA! First I coat the top eyelashes with the Maybelline last stiletto in black. I swear by this stuff and it’s under $9. I then do another coat with the Maybelline volum’ express on top and then use this mascara for my bottom lashes. I love the way these two make my lashes look!
Like I said earlier, I’m definitely not a makeup guru but this is what works for me! Also, the Sephora Spring Bonus event starts TODAY for all Rouge members! For all VIB and beauty insiders members, the event starts on April 20th! If you’re not a member of the beauty insiders club, you can click here to register! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
Happy Tuesday! This past weekend I went to my sweet college roommate’s baby shower in Palestine! Has anyone else ever been to Palestine Texas? It’s a tiny little town but oh so cute! It was SO good to spend the weekend with her one last time before the baby gets here!
I wore this cute little dress to her baby shower on Saturday and got so many compliments! I had originally planned to wear this jumpsuit but a cold front blew in Friday night and it was freezing on Saturday! I was so glad I grabbed this little dress just incase! This dress is under $25 and is actually on sale right now for under $18!! It fits true to size and fits very well. I paired it with these brown wedges which I just LOVE!
This spring, I am all about floral print! It just makes me so happy! I have rounded up some of my favorite floral dresses under $50 that are perfect for spring and summer! I love them because everyone looks good in floral print!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Thanks for stopping by!
Florals and jumpsuits. MY FAVORITE! When I saw this jumpsuit, I knew it was definitely coming home with me! It fits so well and is extremely flattering. I can’t begin to describe how soft it is too! I didn’t like how the waistline was not around the waist so I paired it with a jean jacket to complete the look! This jacket is under $30, which is a complete steal for a jean jacket! I’m obsessed with all things floral right now and am loving jumpsuits! I They are so comfortable and are an easy look to put on to look like you actually tried! Lol. I shared some others I am loving below! I also paired it with these wedges which are my absolute favorite. I love the platform and they are surprisingly easy for me to walk in! The cognac color is perfect because it matches with everything!
Happy FriYAY! I am headed to one of my best friends baby shower this weekend! I can’t wait for her sweet baby boy to be here! What are your weekend plans? I would love to hear!
